TERRAM Geocells are permeable, 3 dimensional, cellular confinement systems, providing erosion control, slope engineering, load platforms and tree root protection solutions for civil engineering and landscaping applications.


Slope erosion control

Complicated and expensive construction techniques can be eliminated using TERRAM Geocell for erosion control applications.

The three dimensional geoellular structure provides a blanket of 'cells' on the slope surface which can be in-filled with a variety of materials depending on the application; either topsoil, aggregates, from sands and gravels to larger stones and cobbles. 

The infill greatly improves the resistance to erosive forces such as rainwater run-off on steep or unstable slopes, or slopes exposed to severe hydraulic or mechanical stresses.

Load Platforms

TERRAM Geocell systems provide a stable base for paved surfaces and surface stabilisation for unpaved areas thus solving many load support and tree root protection problems.

When filled with sands or granular fills, the cellular structure performs as a semi-rigid 'slab' distributing loads laterally, stabilising base materials, reducing sub grade contact pressures and minimising surface rutting. It also prevents the lateral displacement of infill and reduces vertical deflections even on low-strength sub grades.
